While at home, I see a lot of red kites in the area. I love watching them because of their size and beauty, and was inspired to capture their details and colours in a painting. I chose to paint one flying to capture the graceful way that they fly, as they are able to glide around effortlessly without flapping their wings. This project was also inspired by the previous kingfisher painting, and so I decided to continue painting on cardboard.
