These skulls were drawn exclusively with pen stippling. I used a series of fineliners, as the size of each dot was smaller, requiring more patience to fill in an area. This allowed me to slow down and focus on technique and details instead of trying to complete it as fast as possible. I wanted to represent the process of decay by creating a mouldy, run down looking background. This is done with various stains, such as coffee and ink, paired with cotton wool to create a mouldy and tactile piece.
