I wanted to practice some pet portraits in a less realistic style, as I often get caught up in the details of making everything as perfect as possible. Drawing in this style was an exercise in capturing only the most important details to depict the character of the pet. This is drawn from an image of my dog, Rosie. I wanted to capture her silliness and energy, which is represented by the lines and swirls on her body.
