As part of a series of online workshops at Norwich University of Arts that I participated in, I was tasked with redesigning a book cover for either Charlie and the Chocolate Factory or Alice in Wonderland. I began by jotting down themes and objects that each book reminded me of to guage which one I had more inspiration for. I really liked the ideas for Alice in Wonderland, such as spirals and playing cards, and felt that I could take this in a more interesting direction. Drawing out ideas led to me focusing on a hand and spirals which is seen in the final cover. This project let me practice using Adobe Photoshop and was a really fun chance to practice a design workflow.
